Here’s a close-up of another color I did this morning with the aforementioned Photoshop watercolor brushes:

I still don’t pretend to know how to do decent watercolor, but it’s fun having some new tools to play with.

Looks like you've got a good handle on it to me!
To me at least, getting a good water colour effect is like the Holy Grail. Once you can master that on the 'puter, the brushes and paints can get the flick for good.

You know, to be honest, I'm not necessarily chasing that look per se, but I like the softer, more organic edges of some of the brushes in the set I found.
I gotta keep playing with them…
