Some good recent cartoon surfing:
CoverBrowser - 50,000 comic covers to browse. Why? I have no idea.
There’s a “game” to help tag the images, a top 10 weirdest covers and a top 20 coolest covers (#5 being VERY recent and therefore suspect, but I’ll let it go), but the top 10 badly drawn covers was my fave.
Teaching with Calvin & Hobbes - A blog documenting the rare book authorized by Watterson in 1993. (Andertoons Blog is listed twice!)
Chicago Comics - I’ve got a local shop, and I’m cutting down on comics as of late, but this is a nice site, and if I lived in the city I’d be there.
Also, you have to love their policy on selling self-published comics:
There’s nothing so crappy that we won’t carry. So come on, throw some shit in a manilla envelope and try to sell it for 2 bucks! We’ll do our best to help you out. Because, in essence, we love you litttle freaks.
Corbett Vanoni - A lot of this site doesn’t work as of yet, but being a trombonist and cartoonist, this PSA speaks to me.
Pigeon Presents - I love Mo Willems’ books; especially the Pigeon ones. My wife the teacher loves them. My three-year-old son loves them. They’re just really really good.
The new Pigeon Presents site is really good too. Go ahead, just try to play only one round of Hot Dog Dress-Up.

"Why? I have no idea."
I don't really know why I started this, but it's been a lot of fun… almost like a virtual comic collection.
