I love Andy Richter. For my money he’s one of the funniest comic actors out there.
There’s a nice interview with him on NPR today, and this quote especially jumped out at me:
“If you start to just aim for what the audience wants to hear, you’re already hamstrung.”
“So the only thing you can do is do something that you think is funny. And I don’t mean, become a big artist, but do try to tickle your own funny bone as much as you can, and hope that you have a sense of humor people can relate to.”
So true.

Heard a really interesting story on Weekend America this past weekend. Two-time US Poet Laureate, Billy Collins, talks about Looney Tunes’ influence on him, and shares some poetry to that effect.
